ingredients

  • 2   Mamzells potato books
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon of salt, or more to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 40-50 packs of spring rolls
  • water to seal the envelopes of spring rolls
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of vegetable oil

Preparation 20 minutes | cooking 30 minutes

  1. Place the diced potatoes in a saucepan and fill with cold water. Bring the potatoes to a boil and bake for about 18 to 20 minutes or until the fork is tender.
  2. Drain and transfer the potatoes in a large bowl. Add butter, buttermilk, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder. Crush until smooth and lump free. Put on the side and let cool completely.
  3. To assemble the rolls, place a tablespoonful of potatoes in the center of each dough package. Roll in the corner of the room and roll in a tight log (as if you are riding a small burrito).
  4. Place the rolls on a baking sheet and put in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
  5. Fill with a large pan or pan of vegetable oil, about halfway up and heat up to 350   ° F and drop a few spring rolls at a time, being careful not to grill the pot, and fry for a few minutes.
  6. Drain and place on a rack on a baking sheet.
  7. Transfer the spring rolls to a baking sheet and garnish with grated cheese.
  8. Bake for about 5 minutes or until cheese has melted.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with crisp bacon and green onions.
  10. Serve hot with a dip.
